A place where stories are spoken, not typed.
What is Narra
Narra is a voice-first storytelling app. You record a story — sixty seconds to five minutes, one take, your own voice — and send it out into the world. Other people listen, and when they want to respond, they respond the same way: out loud.
No typing. No filters. No comment sections. A story, a listener, and a reply — all in voice.
Why we’re building it
The internet is full of words and starved of voices. Text strips out the pause before the punchline, the breath someone takes before they say the hard part, the laugh they fail to hold in. And now machines write most of the words anyway.
A voice can’t be skimmed and it’s hard to fake. It carries proof that a real person was here — that something actually happened to someone, and they decided to tell you about it. We think that’s worth protecting, so we built a place for it.
That’s why the rule is absolute: voice-only stories. No AI allowed.
Who it’s for
Everyone. Narra exists to bring people closer in this world — one voice at a time.
The friend with the unbelievable airport story. Your grandmother, who tells it better than anyone. The stranger whose worst date makes your whole week. If you have a voice, you have a story.
