Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Narra. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Narra.
Who can use Narra
You must be at least 13 years old to use Narra, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. You need an account, and you’re responsible for what happens under it — keep your sign-in details to yourself.
Your stories stay yours
You keep ownership of everything you record. By publishing a story or a voice reply, you give us permission to store it, process it (transcription and audio mastering) and show it to other people in the app — nothing more. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Only record other people with their knowledge. If a story features someone else’s voice, you’re confirming they were happy to be recorded and shared.
What you may not post
Narra is for real stories told out loud. Do not use it to publish:
- Harassment, bullying, or content targeting a specific person to upset them
- Hate speech, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation
- Threats of violence, or content that glorifies or encourages harm
- Sexually explicit content, and never anything sexualising a minor
- Content encouraging self-harm or suicide
- Someone else’s private information, or a recording of someone who did not consent
- Spam, scams, impersonation, or deliberately false claims that could cause harm
- Anything you don’t have the rights to, including copyrighted music
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Every report is reviewed by a person within 24 hours. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and accounts that post it are suspended or terminated — without warning for anything involving minors, threats of violence, or non-consensual intimate content.
Reporting and blocking
Every story, voice reply and profile in Narra has a Report option in its menu. Reports are private — the person you report is never told who reported them. We review each one within 24 hours and remove anything that breaks the rules above.
You can also block any account from its profile or from the menu on any story. Blocking is mutual and immediate: you won’t see each other’s stories, replies or notifications, any follow between you is removed, and they can’t reply to you. They aren’t told they were blocked. You can review and undo your blocks under Settings → Account → Blocked accounts.
Deleting your content and your account
You can delete any story or reply you’ve recorded from its menu at any time. You can delete your whole account from Settings → Account → Delete my account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your stories and replies, your audio files, your follows and your notifications. It cannot be undone, and we cannot recover it for you afterwards.
We may suspend or terminate an account that repeatedly breaks these terms, or immediately in the serious cases described above.
What we don’t promise
Narra is provided as it is. We don’t guarantee it will always be available, that transcription or audio processing will be accurate, or that you’ll never lose content — keep your own copy of anything irreplaceable. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Narra.
Stories on Narra are told by other people. We don’t verify them, and we’re not responsible for what they contain.
Changes to these terms
We’ll update this page when things change and move the “last updated” date. If a change materially affects you, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Narra after that means you accept the new terms.
Apple
These terms are between you and Narra, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Narra and isn’t responsible for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
